The reason I stepped into this type of coaching was because so many people were coming to me thinking they were having some kind of huge crisis.
They felt like they didn’t know what to do with their life but they knew they wanted something different.
Some of them were doing everything they thought they ever wanted.
Some of them felt like they’d sleepwalked into their current path without really making any active decisions.
Life (and work) was happening to them. And they dreaded Monday. They resented their management. They felt incompetent (sometimes due to a lack of interest in their role and sometimes due to the total incompetence of their management). They were struggling with burnout, boundaries and grappling with totally misaligned values. And every single one of them felt completely stuck.
I know we don’t want work to be our entire lives, but it’s hard for it not to dominate when it’s our worklife that’s making us miserable, as it seeps in to all other areas of life and we can easily fall prey to chronic stress or burnout.
